About Us

Repatriation Ireland has been established to ease the financial burden faced by bereaved families when returning the remains of loved ones who have sadly passed away unexpectedly or under tragic circumstances from abroad to Ireland.

Repatriation Ireland has witnessed the challenges first hand individuals face in bringing their loved ones back to Ireland. Given the current immigration landscape and the significant number of Irish citizens residing overseas, the demand for repatriation services is unfortunately growing rapidly each year.

In 2021 approximately 220 people had to be repatriated.
In 2025 this figure has risen to 444 people. That’s more than 100% increase in 5 years.
We aim to support Irish individuals during these trying times by providing both guidance and, financial assistance through funds that we are trying to raise.

Repatriation Ireland is applying to the charity regulator as a not-for-profit charity and a cashless organisation. This is to negate issues of fraud, which charities in Ireland are struggling with daily.
